Prof. Qian ZHANG's Research Team Awarded Gold Medal at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva

A research team led by our Division Head, Prof. Qian ZHANG, won the Gold Medal at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, which was held in Switzerland from 9-13 April, 2025.

The awarded project is titled “NutriCare Smart Feeding Pump: Next-Generation Nutrition Management Solution for Nasogastric Tube Patients.”

Tailored for patients with nasogastric feeding needs, the NutriCare-YS01 Feeding Pump provides gastric residue analysis, nutritional intake monitoring, recipe recommendations, and auto-feeding control, all of which help enhance care efficiency and patient outcomes. The liquid component analysis is based on multi-band hyperspectral reconstruction using deep learning neural networks, which is the patented technology developed by the team.
